FCS Community Council Checking Account
May 31, 2025, ending bank balance $16,256.73 (checkbook and bank balance reconcile) Note: $ .35 in reserve for recycle forklift. $1,238.91 in reserve for Post Theatre remodel. $9,748.80 in reserve for Pickleball

Committee Reports:
Pickleball – In planning stage – $2,000.00 still needed. Frances will speak with Chip Riggins about a booth on 4th July event.
First Annual Organizational and Networking Meeting: Maria has been speaking with committees that give reports at BOD meetings. This is a first step for a Community Calendar and how CC can assist in other ways. As this moves along, our goal is to include other clubs, Brackettville, etc. Maria will send invitation for July 17th meeting 10 am at NCO/Service Club (committees & Vanessa Nava – event planner)
Spring/Fall Raffle – Drawing May 31 was done by Tom Kovacs, witnessed by Richard Moore. Doug Graybill won Solo Stove – James M Bland won Kayak - Tom Kovacs won Hammock. Note: Matt & Tom donated back prizes for another raffle. Thank you, both & Congratulations Doug Graybill.
Pool Hall (planning Phase) – Frances/Richard working to have pool tables moved to center section in Adult Center for access to A/C – restrooms. Richard stated carpet needs cleaning first. Frances has looked into SimpliSafe for monitoring doors. Note: all in working stage to be presented to GM.
Unfinished Business:
Adult Center: FUD- Sharon Wolfe - pending
AED: Janet asked if inside unit at gym has been moved outside. Richard said no. We are waiting for information on RV location. Richard will talk to Tom on status.
Stable Repairs: Linda Obrien will get new quote from Jim MK Builders. Aaron Mendias gave his expert opinion. $900 in GoFundMe. Suggestions were made to use social media to spread the word. Suggestion made to have a booth at 4th July event. Motion by Francis to put in CC reserve $1000.00 for stable. Janet 2nd – all approved
New Business:
Upcoming Events- 4th of July – CC will be in Duck Inn selling water & watermelon slices. Marla Palmer will recruit volunteers. Suggestion made to put a jar out for FC Days donations.
Community Concerns:
Richard stated Google Maps has been on fort. If you want your street view blurred out – go to Google Maps.
Maria asked how needy people can get help. HOPE center has a refrigerator outside. We will see if they can come to our next meeting.
The road stripping is back again. Richard will talk to GM
Trees hanging over roads. This is causing issues for tall trucks/RVs. Work order should be put in at the front office for maintenance to handle fort property & residents need to request or trim themself.
