Meeting Minutes March 11, 2023
Submitted by Marcia Coffman
Meeting opened with a prayer and the Pledge.
Minutes of the February meeting have been approved and posted on Community Council page.
Treasurers Report - $3789.00 from John Wiley and Community Council was deposited and then paid out for repairs to the loader at the Recycling Center. Community Council has a balance of $ 15,359.56
Fort Clark Days has a balance of $9,916.96. Complete accounting for Fort Clark Days 2023 will be made at the April meeting of Community Council. Treasurer's report was approved.
Fort Clark Days was a big success, with positive feedback. There was some discussion about minor changes for FCDs 2024. These concerned relocating some groups. First organizational meeting for Fort Clark Days 2024 is set for September 2023. Henry Garcia offered his help for 2024.
New Business - Community Council has been approached, unofficially, to live stream the Fort Clark Board meetings and to live stream them on the Community Council Facebook page. Discussion followed with Frances making a motion that Community Council would create a Facebook page to live stream the Fort Clark board meetings, not allowing questions or comments, as a public service to Fort Clark members. Kathy Warm seconded the motion. Vote was taken with motion failing.
The current Community Council was unaware that permission from the Fort Clark board was needed to use the grounds and buildings on the fort for Fort Clark Days. To avoid this situation in the future there was discussion about getting a Memorandum of Understanding from the Fort Clark board. Any action concerning this was tabled to the April or May meeting of Community Council.
Meeting was then adjourned.
