Secretary’s Report: Janet Miller – Motion for approval by Frances Bitter, 2nd H.N .Bitter, all approved. Treasurer’s Report: Frances Bitter – Janet Miller motion for approval, Dennis Leff 2nd, all approved.
FCS Community Council Checking Account October 31, 2024, ending bank balance $17,713.30 (checkbook and bank balance reconcile) Note: $10,088.35 in reserve for recycle forklift, $3,000.00 in reserve for Adult Center remodel.
FC Days Checking Account October 31, 2024, ending balance $7,479.86 Raffle Checking Account October 31, 2024, ending balance $4,231.37 (raffle #2 }
Committee Reports: Ghostly Tours: $1,306.35 (not final total)
Fort Clark Days: Annabell McNew- T-shirt contest winner #2 1st place, #5 2nd place. Travis Huey/Annabell suggested using Shafter or other spaces to house Historians by renting bath house. Mary Ann Oliver we need estimated cost. This could free up hotel space & fort might off set cost. (1st place for T-shirts, 2nd place for marketing)
Next FC Days meeting Sunday November 17th 1:30 Boardroom
Raffle: Alicia Christian- 24 tickets sold. Hunters Roundup and Fall Festival booths. Alicia will contact Tom Kovacs.
Unfinished Business: Adult Center: – Richard Moore contacted Frances. He went to Adult Center after rain and the bat guano smell was extremely strong. We need to rethink remodeling for Historians.
FUD still pending.
AED – Motion by Frances for Tom Kovacs' purchase of an AED machine. 2nd Stephanie, all approved. Travis suggested MUD might be willing to attach to right away pole.
Great Texas Birding Classic: Tabled
Road Striping: Travis said we need to approach MUD again. State requirement since it is a MUD Municipality. Post Theatre: Warren has still not heard from John Wylie. Stephanie will email John Wylie about issue.
Quarry Society Audio System: Tabled
Fall Festival: Community Council and Gun Raffle will have booths. Community Council booth will have Fort Clark Days information, donation box, Eclipse T-shirts $2.00- Alicia, Mary Ann, Vickie Lee will handle booths.
Nomination Committee: H. N Bitter and Dennis Leff
New Business: New Years Eve Event: Warren spoke with Charlena (GM). She stated Community Council can have. Warren and Marla will chair the event. NOTE: need to verify at Fort Clark Board meeting December 16th
Announcements: Historical Society Veterans Appreciation meal and program. 11/11 @ 11:30 am @ Palasado. Warren stated table outside Fire House with free items. Anyone can add to table. Items not taken he will put for trash.
Community Concerns: Warren and Annabell said we needed a list of projects for both Fort and Community Council with brief scope of work. Put contact info so people can bid or volunteer.
Several members concerned about RV Parks appearance. This is a major asset.
