Secretary’s Report: Janet Miller – Motion for approval by H.N Bitter, Frances Bitter 2nd, all approved.
Treasurer’s Report: Frances Bitter – Janet Miller motion for approval, H.N Bitter 2nd, all approved.
FCS Community Council Checking Account
August 31, 2024, ending bank balance $6,133.82 (checkbook and bank balance reconcile) Note: $88.35 in reserve for baler, $3,000.00 in reserve for Adult Center remodel.
FC Days Checking Account
August 31, 2024, ending balance $8,539.86(should be $8,839.86 due to $300.00 First Friday Movie Charge that should not be CC (note: Amazon charged $3.24 – Frances disputed
Raffle Checking Account
August 31, 2024, ending balance $3,446.22 (raffle 2 }
Committee Reports:
Ghostly Tours: Next meeting Aug 25 6pm (zoom for people who can’t attend). Halloween movie at Creekside – Annabell suggested booth with Ghostly Tours information & sales
Fort Clark Days: Meeting startup Aug 22nd 1:30pm in boardroom. Frances will email out Chair 2025 information. Stephanie Calderon will create flyer notification. Annabell McNew repaid $300.00 from 1st Friday Movie.
Art contest for FC Day’s T-shirt design – Annabell suggested changing the date to allow time for marketing.
Raffle: Tom Kovaks – Raffle #2 received $700.00 to date. Looking into gun show in San Marcus. Tom suggested at gun shows (Frances Uvalde Hunters Roundup) to add FC Days brochures & sell FCD t-shirts. Tom suggested sending out email to people who previously purchased from Raffle #1
Unfinished Business:
Adult Center: (aka The Old Hospital) – Stephanie sent information regarding FUD to GM – Stephanie will follow up.
AED - Tom will revisit GM on training & leasing new AED machine. Tom will write proposal for cost to lease another AED. Tom will train at no charge
Bugle & Bugle Box- Amos Trisler was previous person. Tabled
Great Texas Birding Classic: Tabled
Road Striping: No progress still: Tabled
Post Theatre: Time to revisit drainage – Annabell will talk to Travis with Mud on pipe locations. Need to find out status of stage flooring with Wylie on BOD
New Business:
Floor in Guard Shack: Ed/Janet Miller to donate ceramic tile. Tom will give CC bid cost on grout, etc. for us to vote on.
CC Audio System: Our system not in good shape. Stephanie suggests to get with Old Quarry (David Loftus) about their system.
Security: Allowing people thru gate with no tags or permission. Alicia Christan spoke with GM about using color tags on vehicles (i.e. contractors, guest, day guest, etc)
Announcements:
Helena with recycle received $10,000 grant from Coca-Cola for forklift. Congratulations!
Steve Giblin Memorial – September 28th @ Methodist Church 1pm with gathering @ Slater Hall after.
Community Concerns:
Alicia stated pool not being powered washed completely to remove algae.
