Meeting Minutes April 8, 2023

Meeting was called to order.
Invocation was given by H. N. Bitter
Minutes from March meeting were read and approved.
Frances read the Treasurer's report: There is $15,350.56 in Community Council account.
$153.50 was paid to Weebly.com for a one-year subscription. Leaving $15,197.06. $10,000 to be held in reserve for recycle baler, $2000 set for repairs at Adult Center. Ft. Clark Days has $8430.16 and are still waiting from checks from AEP and Austin Ratliff's company. Bar at the Commissary brought in $1558.00. The band cost $250 and $500 was paid before bar receipts were posted.
Unfinished business - Transfer money set aside for Adult Center to Commissary for bathroom repairs. Volunteers would pull out old fixtures and paint. Fort says major plumbing problems have been fixed. Dennis moved to use the $2000 originally set for the Adult Center to make final repairs to bathrooms at the Commissary, HN seconded, motion passed.
New Business- $3000 in FCD proceeds need to be distributed. Last year $2000 went to Preservation Committee, same amount will go to them this year, leaving $1000 in Community Council account. Dennis moved to accept those figures, Marcia seconded, motion passed.
Community Concerns- Kathy Warm asked who has jurisdiction over renters that do not keep their property up i.e. junk and trash. Complaint should be sent to Architectural Committee (new fine schedule suggested)
The current process is to send complaint to Architectural Committee, a letter is then sent to the owner with 45 days to address the problem, then $250 fine is levied. The Architectural Committee is targeting areas to make sure things are being taken care of.
Kathy Warm mentioned that the Gun Club will be holding a gun safety class April 15 in the Green Room from 8:30 AM to noon.
Bill Herman brought up having defensive driving class to be held at the fort. Marcia will check with DMV to see if this is possible.
