Meeting Minutes December 11, 2021
Submitted by Kathi Warm
Board trustees present: Natanya Watkinson, H. N. Bitter, Tyeanna Johnson, Kathleen Warm, Dennis Leff (member-at-large.)
Board meeting called to order by Natanya at 9:32.
Items Discussed
Movie Thursday- December 16 for students.
FCD meeting-December 15, adult center 6:00 pm.
Donation to Kinney County Junior Livestock Show. Motion made by Kathi to donate $100.00. Seconded by Dennis and passed unanimously.
Consider FCD’s 3 days instead of 2 days as it takes so much work to put up and break down tents and other structures. The minimum dollar amount to pull it off is $8,000.00. Hoping we get $11,000.00.
Nominations. We have 2 people willing to fill treasurer position. No one yet for president. Position duties will be sent for posting on the Dispatch and to Natanya for emailing members.
Community Council Meeting
The meeting was called to order by Natanya at 10:02 am. There were 10 members present with Robert Mumme via Facebook. The meeting was livestreamed via Facebook.
Invocation- H.N. gave the invocation and Pledge of Allegiance followed.
Correspondence- Letter from Kinney County Junior Livestock Show requesting a donation. Board voted to donate $100.00. Tyeanna will write the check and give it to them.
November minutes- they were approved by the board via email and are posted on our website.
Treasurer’s report- Tyanna gave the balance on our account and noted that the funds from Ghostly Tours were not posted yet.
NEW BUSINESS
FCSA Board Panel- Robert, Memo, Bill, and Travis each gave a short presentation about what their duties are.
Travis-Strategic Plan- working with the city buying equipment, getting more involved with the city, and opening our doors. Accomplishing many items looks slow, but improvements are being made.
OLD BUSINESS
CC Board nominating committee- 2 people have shown interest in the treasurer. We are looking for someone for president position.
FCSA forum – rules were discussed, and the date is Sat. Feb. 11 in the Post Theater immediately after our meeting which will start at 10:00.
FCD Update- Meetings are posted on the Fort Clark Days website. Things are going along nicely, but we need people to help Stephen get donations. We are still looking for any ladies to help with the ladies’ tea. This is a great thank you for all the female reenactors. Contact Natanya if you would like to help. Next meeting for FCD is Wednesday, December 15 at the adult center at 6:00.
Member Concerns-Trails that are closed due to the harvest. Golf Cart on the roads at night without lights. House on Fort Clark Road next to adult center painted white. Who may attend the Town Hall Meeting? The absence of Lights on Ft. Clark Road past Scales Road. Policy for those employees that test positive for covid.
An injustice to report concerns to the board at these meetings. All these concerns have been sent to the board so that they may be informed.
Announcements-Golf cart tours of home will be December 16. Meet at the rv park at 5:30, take the tour and back to the rv park for hot chocolate and a fire. Dutch oven workshop December 19 at the rv park starting at 2:00. $5.00 p/p. RSVP @ 563-2442 as seating is limited.
Next meeting January 8, 2022 at 10:00 am in the board room.
There being no further business, meeting adjourned at 12:02 pm.
Respectfully submitted,
Kathleen Warm, Secretary
