Meeting Minutes September 12, 2021
Submitted by Kathi Warm
Board Trustees present: Natanya Wilkinson, H. N. Bitter, Kathleen Warm via telephone. Absent were Tyeanna and Dennis.
Meeting called to order at 9:45 am.
ITEMS DISCUSSED
FCD committee will meet Wed. Oct. 15 in the adult center at 6:00 pm. Chair person is needed for Ladies Tea. Perhaps Phyllis, Angela or Elizabeth may help.
Sept. movie was cancelled due to lack of volunteers. The July 4th movie, “Grease” was a huge success as there were about 100 people that watched the movie. Concessions did quite well. Two main items needed for future movies are water and popcorn. Major discussion was that we may only show movies on the holiday weekends. The attendance is always better, less stress on getting volunteers for regularly scheduled movies, and many times very few people show up. Thoughts are to do one Halloween night, Thanksgiving weekend, Christmas weekend, and other holiday weekends each month.
Ghostly tours will be Oct. 29, 30. It was decided to do 2 nights as doing it only 1 night last time ended up having the wagon tour end late in the evening. Allison will spearhead this event again. Lengthy discussion about putting the Red Bridge back on the program. Thoughts about creating the instruments to provide people with a QR scan code so they could take their golf carts and see the stops and listen via a Podcast. Natanya will look into it.
We did not sponsor a hole for the Church Alliance Golf tournament. The votes were 3 nos, and 2 abstains.
Tyeanna emailed us with the treasurer’s reports for CC and for FCD. They will be posted on our website.

Meeting held in the BOD room and called to order by Natanya at 10:00 am. Members present were 4.

Treasurer’s report: Tyeanna reported the balances of CC and FCD via email. FCD has $6,842.26 and CC has a balance of $324.30. Report will be posted on our web site.
Email votes: Church Alliance golf tournament sponsorship. 3 voted no, 2 abstained.

FCD Committee meeting Sept. 15, Wed. at 6:00 pm at the adult center.
GHOSTLY TOURS. Two nights this year, Oct. 29 and 30. Allison will be heading this up again. Phil Coburn will be doing the narration on the tour wagon. Discussions about having ghost stories recorded so people could use a QR code to listen to them. Discussion about routing the wagon to the Red Bridge area this year.
Discussion. Jan mentioned that more and more people are putting up decorations for Halloween and thought a contest could be held and perhaps the RV. Committee or Sherri could run the golf cart show of house tour. Sherri is also going to schedule the pumpkin patch every weekend for the kids and will probably have a time for carving them.
Lengthy discussion about going together with the high school students or Megan Vale who would represent CNR (Cats Neutered Released.) They might be able to help out at the Red Bridge. Allison noted that fairy lights are needed for the trees around that area and strips of 100 solar lights. The cost will be looked into. This is our biggest fund raiser and proceeds go to high school scholarships, Church alliance, 4 H, and other community contributions.
It was suggested that Megan could do a small excerpt from CATS, and maybe get the cheer leaders involved do a scene. Mr. Stanley, a teacher showed interest in setting up a haunted house with the help of Allison and Mega. Nothing was decided.
Kathi asked about having a rep. give a report at FCS director’s meeting, but it was noted that this was our first meeting since June, and Natanya will send a report to Robert.
