Items discussed
Monthly Movie Discussion-No movie in April. May will have 2 movies for Memorial Weekend. One will be Arrowhead. Second movie will be decided. A good old western might work. Movies will be outside at the amphitheater. Volunteers are needed. Licensing for outdoor movies is $205. Indoor movies are $110.00. Just need money for sponsorship. A lengthy discussion followed.
Eclipse 2024-Kathi mentioned that she had spoken with Travis about getting with him and give him a list of vendors for the event. Bob Hendricks and Allison offered to give a vendor list.
Community Council Meeting
The meeting was held in the BOD room and called to order by Natanya at 10:05. There were 12 members present. The meeting was not live streamed.
Invocation-H.N. gave the invocation and Pledge of Allegiance followed.
Correspondence-A letter from Ruby Castillo was the recipient of our 4 H Live Stock donation and she wrote a letter of thanks.
February, 2021 minutes-Kathi reported that the minutes were approved via 3-mail votes and are posted on our website.
March Treasurer’s report- Tyeanna reported income/expense report, and copies are available and all statements are posted on our website.
OLD BUSINESS-None
NEW BUSINESS
FCD 2022-Natanya gave a report that new blood and ideas are needed. The first meeting will be Thurs., March 25 at the adult center at 6:00. Committees, chairs, and volunteers are needed. Natanya again informed those attending that we need new people that want to get involved.
Memorial Day Weekend Movie-Natanya let the members know what we had discussed at our meeting and what we hoped to accomplish for the weekend movie schedule. Robert Hall volunteered to help out anyway he could. Kathi said she would help with the concessions and Tyeanna may be able to help.
Easter Egg Hunt Volunteers-Natanya gave a report. It is a county event for all children. Please volunteer to help out and make it successful. H.N. reported that Frances had already purchased eggs for the children. Tyeanna suggested that there be a bin or various containers that the kids could put their candy in, leave their plastic eggs and then go and get their candy. Parents agreed that they didn’t want to deal with the plastic eggs at home.
Fort Clark Days Update-Natanya updated the membership on all that the board had discussed earlier.
Club Reports-Garden Report. The last meeting discussed container gardening. What with the freezing weather, the meeting was very informative. The plant show scheduled in April has been cancelled due to the freeze. The yard of the month has a very interesting rock display and there is a history of them and cairns in the paper. The foundation garden was worked on and the difference is very inviting to sit and look around our area and read a book.
Announcements-Sandy mentioned that Allison will be at the Heritage Museum this afternoon with her spinning wheel to do a presentation at 2:00 and 4:00.
Arts council will be selling food items starting at noon today before the music event at the Gazebo.
Next meeting is April 10th.
Natanya adjourned the meeting at 10:45.
Respectfully submitted
