Secretary’s Report: Janet Miller – Motion for approval by Dennis Leff. Frances Bitter 2nd, all approved.
Treasurer’s Report: Frances Bitter – Stephanie Calderon motion for approval, Stephanie 2nd, all approved.
FCS Community Council Checking Account
March 31, 2024, ending bank balance $1,518.59 (checkbook and bank balance reconcile) Note: $88.35 in reserve for baler, $3,000.00 in reserve for Commissary bathroom.
FC Days Checking Account
March 31, 2024, ending balance 8,159.17
Raffle Checking Account
March 31, 2024, ending balance $4,963.35. (raffle sales closed)
Committee Reports:
Eclipse: Lower than expected turnout. There may be a loss once all money accounted. Received many positive reviews from guest. Astronomer presentation filled Post Theatre. Movie, pool dance & eclipse float party was enjoyed by many. Final account next month.
Fort Clark Days: Frances stated due to low turnout, along with vendors and historians cancelling we did not make a profit.
Raffle: Tom Kovacs stated all 100 tickets sold. 60 online & 40 in person. Pending name drawing. More discussion in unfinished business.
Unfinished Business:
Commissary - Bathrooms – Phillip stated to Frances that line from toilet to sewer “very” short, so if the sewer is backup… so will the toilet. Not sure if Fort or MUD responsible. Tabled for more information.
Bugle Box – Tabled till next meeting.
Adult Center: (aka The Old Hospital) – Travis Huey stated FUDS program is something worth looking into. Alicia Christian will look at getting register on program. Kathy Warm had written letter several months ago to board about issue with no reply. Another suggestion was to contact Tony Gonzales. Tabled till next meeting.
Edin Brochin Wine and Movie: not in attendance. Frances stated we are still waiting proposal. Tabled
Great Texas Birding Classic: Alicia will get with Travis & Annabell to brainstorm. Tabled
Road Striping: Memo suggested going to MUD meeting April 17th, 9 am @ MUD office. It was noted that MUD is unable to strip until wind cooperates. Tabled
Post Theatre: Danny Calderon is working with someone that restores historical homes and buildings. Memo stated someone donated wood and he will store. Annabelle will investigate grants for historical theatres. Suggestion we need a master plan on outside west wall drainage & inside flooring. Tabled
New Business:
Announcements:
Gun Raffle – Tom suggests the money raised goes for Security shirts, pants, bodycams, AED…etc. He will get proposal to CC.
AED, First Aid, CPR training: Tom presented a presentation on importance of this training. Would like to have security, members involved in classes offered. Stephanie Calderon & Christina Bitter have passed training class & fully certified. Congratulations ladies Stephanie had the AED machine at all eclipse events. Tom will write up proposal for distribution for funds received.
First Friday Event: Travis & Annabel – this is the 60th Anniversary of British Invasion. Costumes inspired, Movie, Presentations, Band, Vendors, Plant sale by garden club, much for kids & more. Go to their website fortfirstfriday.com

New Business: Drawing for Gun Raffle…… Aaron Talamontes is the winner. Stephanie will contact and provide information needed to receive gun. Thank to all that participated. Next raffle coming soon.
